My saadhanas
My routine for long, even before reaching PSN (Prasanthi Nilayam), had been to get up at 4.30 AM, bathe, shave, etc and then light a lamp, chant Omkaram 21 times aloud, Ganesha namaskaram, original Soorya Gayathri followed by Sai Gayathri 21 times, Sathya Sai Astotharam, Praanaayaamam, Two Devi Manthras (Amma's advice), walk a little, then finally Aadithya Hrudayam facing Sun, wherever I am. I submit every prayer to Sathya Sai. Whenever I visit a temple and pray, I try to see Swami there - whether it is Guruvayur or Vadakkunnathan or any other place. For us, Swami is Sarvadeva because He is truly Parabrahmam. I do evening sandhyaavandanam too on a smaller scale. Lunch usually around 12.30 pm, have a short nap and then some time on the laptop writing something like this - this writing process started only a few wks back - see something on Youtube, mostly comedies, online news and channels - there are plenty now. Astrology - mainly making charts while I was using Windows, now no more as I use Linux now. As I wrote in my first write-up, I started playing with Linux. I find this a very good exercise for the brain.
After the evening Sandhyavandanam, dinner, usually around 7-7.30. At Calicut, I would go to sleep around 9 pm, but here I retire at 8 pm as there is nothing else to do.
Here, in the morning, I just walk up to the colourful Ganapathi deity near our South Prasanthi, because of restrictions due to Corona, since there are no darshans and Mandir is closed.
