Bangalore and Coronavirus

Bangalore has many of our friends and relatives. My cousin brother Baleshettan and family were there from the time we knew about Bangalore. They have one daughter and three sons. Eldest Krishnadas is in US with Ambika and they have two sons. Mohan is second - a real estate man - has a daughter, who is a dentist, recently got engaged. Bharathan got married late in Yelahanka. Wife is an English lecturer there. A very decent family. Mohan is staying in their original place, Banaswadi. We used to visit that place frequently. Their house is adjacent to the Bus station. Whenever we went to PSN (Prasanthi Nilayam) we always stayed here for the night. 

Later, we shifted this stop-over to Jaya's place in Indiranagar. Jaya has now shifted to Richmond area - more posh and busy area. For a long time we haven't been to B'lore . Both Jaya and Thammu have retired from active practice now. Recently, they came to see Rema in Nirmala hospital, recovering from Quadriplegia due to spinal deformity and pathology from Sept 12th 2020. She was in Nirmala Hospital till 2nd Dec 2020 when we shifted to PSN, our ultimate destination in many respects. 

The Coronavirus is causing havoc all over, but Swami protects us from all catastrophes. Hari was given a double room flat in D9 in the 4th floor with lift. In the beginning, I was very apprehensive, but Hari took over all my responsibilities. He is Swami's gift to us. He looks after all our needs, and anticipates all our needs well in advance. So on the whole, I am completely free from all worries, and having a very peaceful life here. The Coronavirus problem still continues, and so PSN is not yet normal. Many of our relatives and close ones had Corona and some expired. Sindhu and daughter Gopika had Covid but recovered completely. They shifted their things partly to Arcade. They will shift the rest by 30th May or earlier. All our keys are now with them because Appa is going to H'bad on 25th for Aiswarya's wedding on 5th June.

Interview and PSN sights

I want to share an incident, my only chance for an interview with Sathya Sai, along with all Kerala SS Trust members. Trust chairman then was Mr Kumaran Eradi, Justice Eradi's younger brother. Along with us was the Ex minister Mr Wellington also. Swami liked him and always talked to him. Lots of things about the Srisailam School were discussed and Swami asked many questions. Just before ending the interview, Swami said something which I didn't hear properly and didn't understand. Later, Mukundan, our state president, told that Swami had commented that I was always thinking, thinking; just do good things and everything will be ok. That was a good message for me. After the interview, all of us came out and sat on the veranda/ Swami continued to talk to Wellington - His plans to enlarge the Sai Kulwant hall in detail. Sorry, I forgot the date of the interview. Forgot to mention (in the previous post about Prasanthi Nilayam ) more about the two museums here in Prasanthi Nilay...

About my brothers

As mentioned previously , we were originally 14 siblings. 5 died - these were all my elder sisters - much before I was born. I have only heard about them. So my parents were earnestly praying for a girl and then Kamakshichechi was born 1934. Eldest was Ramankutty chettan employed in the registration department. Though his was a small job he was very satisfied and happy mainly because of Karthyayani chedathi amma who managed their family very well. Edathiyamma (Elder sister-in-law) was our eldest maternal uncle's (Krishnamman's) daughter. She was very beautiful and theirs was a love marriage. Their eldest child was Valsala, then Ambika and later Malini and last their last was son Rajan. He stays at their house now. Malini had CA (cancer) and is no more. Ambika is happily married to Siddhan in Bangalore. Valsala was married to Vijayan from FACT . Vijayan expired a few years back due to a cardiac attack. They have 3 girls and a boy. All well settled. Father, temples and Chakranysharadi

Father There was a request from a friend to write more about my father"s association with the Cochin royal family. My father was a munsiff and the king ( Madiraasiyil theeppetta thampuran ) Rama Varma selected my father, noting his honesty, straight-forwardness, integrity and other good qualities. The King wanted him for all purposes and made him Sarvaadhi kaari. He held that post for 14 long years. Mother used to tell the stories of life inside the Kottaram (palace) to us later. Our whole family had a cushy life then. Food and accommodation were free and whatever food was made for the King had to be tasted by Sarvaadhi. Father could have saved a lot, but he felt he had to repay all the loans his uncle had brought upon himself for looking after them in childhood. Even the Pisharoty Munsiff's house had to be pawned for repaying the loans. So finally my father didn't have much savings, which caused him to have depressive illness.  I remember him feeling sorry for that state...
